Dear parents and students of Czech School of California,

Thank you for your interest in our classes this fall semester. Please, find below all the necessary information regarding the academic year 2023/24 and specifically the Spring semester (February 3 – June 8, 2024) including enrollment forms, calendars, information on tuition options and overview of fees. We look forward to welcoming our students at our locations in Palo Alto and Lafayette. 

How to register for a class?

1.  Fill out our online enrollment form, pick one of the two:

     Spring 2023/24 – students returning and continuing Continuing Student Registration Form 

     Spring 2023/24 – students brand new to our school New Student Registration Form

2.  For current semester prices please see the following document  Course Prices Spring 2024 Semester.

3. After filling in the registration form and once your student is matched into a class, you will receive an invoice.

Payments can be made online, via bank transfer or by check. Look out for payment instructions on your invoice that will be emailed to you once we receive your completed registration form. Please, allow 5-10 working days for processing. 

Czech School of California tuition fees include many benefits. For example, free family admissions to the many students’ and partner events that take place regularly throughout the year. For an up-to-date information, follow our Facebook page.  Students also have free access to our School library which holds over 500 titles of classical and modern Czech language literature for children and adults. Our academic year 2023/24 starts on Saturday, September 9, 2023 and ends on June 8, 2024. The year is split and billed in two semesters, a Fall semester (September 9, 2023 – January 27, 2024) and a Spring semester (February 3, 2024 – June 8, 2024).

Czech School of California has a valid contractual agreement with the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports of the Czech Republic as a provider of education abroad. Our teaching is conducted according to the valid Framework Educational Program for Elementary Education and thus our students achieve comparable results as students in Czech schools in the field of Czech language and literature, and in the knowledge of Czech history and geography. 

Czech School of California is joining the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports’ pilot project for providers of education abroad trialing a combined education framework for students of Stage 2 of basic education. Combined education is a systematic and planned framework of education in schools (where students are present in classrooms) and outside of school (online distance learning). Students from 8th and 9th grades of academic year 2023/2024 are participating in the project.

Specific dates of synchronized distance learning schedule planned for year 2023/2024 are as follows:

8th grade – 9/11, 10/9, 11/13, 12/11, 1/8, 2/12, 3/11, 4/8, 5/13, 6/3

9th grade – 9/12, 10/10, 11/14, 12/12, 1/9, 2/13, 3/12, 4/9, 5/14, 6/4
