Helena Soukupova Appointed Executive Director of Czech School of California
Michaela Zuckova to remain on Board of Directors
Redwood City, CA, Friday, May 4, 2018 — The Czech School of California announced today that Helena Soukupova has been appointed as the new Executive Director of the School. Also a teacher at the School, Ms. Soukupova’s background includes pedagogy and law degrees from West Bohemia University in Pilsen, Czech Republic. She has worked as a Regional Manager / Director of GE Money Bank and is the co-founder of Jocose Tie, a fashion accessory startup.
Ms. Soukupova said, “It is a big honor for me to further develop this amazing community together with the whole team at the Czech School of California. I have already enjoyed every event we have created and every opportunity to meet with Czech people in this area. I want to thank Michaela Zuckova and express my appreciation for her successful leadership of the School for the last six years. I’m grateful that she will remain on the Board and continue to make a difference with our organization.”
Ms. Zuckova added, “I’m very excited that we have been able to find a new leader of Helena’s capability. She brings technical skill, leadership ability and hands-on teaching experience that will be priceless for our organization. The timing for this transition is perfect, as we pursue new projects with the continuing support of the Avast Foundation partnership.
